Jinsy Andrews, MD, MSc, FAAN has been elected co-chair of the Northeast ALS Consortium (NEALS) for a four-year term. NEALS is an international, independent, non-profit group of researchers who collaboratively conduct clinical research in ALS and other motor neuron diseases. Their mission is to translate scientific advances into new treatments for people with ALS and MND as rapidly as possible. “I look forward to working with the executive committee, subcommittees and general membership to continue the productive and collaborative work among all of our centers in advancing scientific research in ALS,” says Dr. Andrews. “This is an exciting time in ALS and I hope to help encourage members to engage actively with the consortium, nurture innovative ideas, promote clinical research education, and cultivate patient advocacy.”
