About CTNI

CTNI: Defined

Structure

CTNI will have a hub and spoke structure with a Scientific Director, an Executive Director, and engaged and committed advisory boards.

Scope

All uptown neuroscience research in both basic and clinical departments. CTNI encompasses some 200 Principal Investigators engaged in basic, translational, clinical, or epidemiological research, with track records of independent funding and publications. Those with active involvement in CTNI will be considered for full membership.

Collaboration

A forum for fostering collaboration between uptown centers and departments–and with the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute and Morningside departments–without compromising their independence.

Visibility

A focal point for coordinating interactions with other groups within and beyond Columbia, including industry.

Fundraising

Novel research programs that, because of their wider scope and greater translational reach, will provide opportunities for fundraising over and above those of individual centers or departments.
